Isabel de Felice - Image Consultant, Stylist, Personal Shopper

Hello! I’m Isabel and I’m the owner and founder of Imagewise Image

Consultancy based in Walton on Thames, Surrey where I have my studio

and live with my three wonderful children.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved fashion and music. As

a child I played with Barbie and Sindy dolls making outfits for them myself,

and sang in a school choir. As a teenager I had a little job on a beauty

counter, and sang in a rock group. As a young woman I loved to shop,

and joined a drama group. Music and fashion have been the main themes

in my life and fortunately, as a career, I’ve been able to do both...

My background is southern European so I studied modern languages at

university and gained a BA (Hons) degree in French and Spanish with

Economics. But after a few years working in property management,

teaching and financial services, I followed my heart and retrained as an

opera and jazz singer. I joined the English National Opera as a freelance

chorister in 1994.

My time at ENO was full of creativity, music, team spirit and great clothes.

I loved every minute of it! Working alongside the best costumiers, I

picked up many of the design tips that I now use in my image consultancy

work.

It was after my third child was born that I decided it was time for a rethink.

Wanting to spend more time with my young family, I retired from the West

End lifestyle, and started to look for a new career where I could use all my

previous experience and indulge my passion for clothes, fashion and

personal image.

Colour me Beautiful was the obvious choice. I had been to see a Colour

me Beautiful consultant myself whilst working at ENO and the experience

had been one of the best things I had ever done. So after undergoing

extensive training, I joined the company, and in my first year won their

best newcomer award. Further awards for outstanding achievements

followed in 2009 and in 2010. And then finally I took the plunge and

launched my own image consultancy, ‘Imagewise.'

My aim is to help women and men look and feel confident regardless of

their size, shape or budget. I help my clients make a positive first

impression; show them how and where to shop; inspire them to add

colour, style and flair to their lives; and teach them how to build a

wardrobe of clothes that they will love to wear. It’s all about becoming

‘imagewise.'

My approach is friendly, encouraging and inspiring. I like my clients to

leave my studio feeling upbeat, positive, clear about who they are, what

flatters them and how they can make the best of themselves.

As they say, ‘Once a performer, always a performer!’ My work as an

image consultant still allows me to be in the ‘limelight’ as I’m regularly

invited to give entertaining talks and presentations to companies, schools,

charities, clubs, women's groups and networking groups. I also host

personal shopping events at top High Street retailers LK Bennett, Kew

and Planet. In 2010 I gave my first radio interview for Radio Surrey.

What more can I tell you? I have a dream job! I love my work and the

difference it makes to people’s lives when they know they look good. It’s

really all about giving them the gift of confidence.
